We're having a great time in Sheffield. Sheffield people are very culturally aware; we always get a very mixed audience, young and old... and it's always been a fairly big audience as well (and it's the middle of the week!). Last night the show

was followed by a Q&A session and, also, we did a reading of some speeches written by young writers (Sheffield Theatres Young Associates). To my surprise a lot of people stayed for that. What was most astonishing though, was the writing talent of the young writers who were only 13!! The speech I did was so... dark, introspective and multi-layered, I couldn't believe my eye when I saw the writer: a tiny, frail, little girl who still has to turn 13...

I hope Birmingham and Manchester will be as great fun as here.
